Our Work focuses on land, ecology and community.

The Kinnaura do not view land as a resource alone, but as a living presence. Our engagement with the community, opens up a space for indigenous sensibilities that may not align with, or be easily accommodated by, Western notions of logic and reason. Instead of linear narratives or scientific objectivity, we encounter cyclical time, oral histories, ritual and sometimes, even silence, as valid ecological knowledge systems.

These Projects are led by Muskaan Gupta with close collaboration with Nikhil Negi. The projects are based in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, with a specific focus on Lippa Village.
