The word मटिङ् (Kinnauri, Ma Tinǵ) literally means the earth. This short film centers on mythological figures from the Kinnauri folklore, who act as advocates for the immediate environment and local ecology, making their presence felt through intentional disruptions to the ongoing ecological degradation caused by rapid construction. While within the tribe, one can observe a form of eco-egalitarianism through these manifestations, externally, the ecological equilibrium of the landscape faces threats from corporate greed and the ongoing climate crisis within the region.
