Sho, meaning “soil” or “dirt” in the Kinnauri language, is a short film grounded in interviews and perspectives of villagers from Lippa on the Kashang Tunnel construction. Through archival footage, environmental imagery and narration, the film documents the ecological crisis unfolding in Lippa Village and the lived experiences of its residents. It highlights the community’s primary concern over the proposed diversion of the Kerang river into a tunnel linked to the Kashang Nallah, a move believed to risk devastating flash floods, while situating these fears within everyday life and cultural practices.
